In recognition of Confederate Heritage and History Month for April 2009, the Sons of the Confederate Veterans will present a "Civil War Living History Day" from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sat., April 18, 2009. The event will take place on the grounds directly behind the old Sullivan County Courthouse in historic downtown Blountville. Afternoon events will include a skirmish between Union and Confederate soldiers near the waters of Muddy Creek.
